FAQ

Q: How are Jack&Pup Bully Stick Dog Treats Made?

A: Our bully sticks are made from a single ingredient: 100% beef pizzle muscle from grass-fed cattle. They are an all-natural, high-protein treat that provide many benefits for your Pup while satisfying their need to chew.

Some of these benefits:

   Healthy nutrition

   Cleans teeth and gums

Supports brain, muscle, and skin health

Our dog treats are all fully digestible and safe for chewing, unlike rawhide bones which can splinter and become lodged in a dog’s intestines.

Q: Does Jack&Pup Offer Different Kinds and Sizes of Bully Stick Treats?

A: Yes, indeed! We know Pups have different preferences and needs, so we offer a variety of treats. Thin sticks are best for puppies and light chewers while thicker treats are ideal for more aggressive chewers. Our treats come in different lengths, as well as interesting shapes like Braided Bully Sticks or Curl Bully Sticks to offer your Pup challenge and novelty.

All of our dog treats are sourced from premium-quality, grass-fed cattle, so they will provide both nutrition and hours of entertainment for your Pup!

Q: What Makes Jack&Pup Treats Different from Other Brands?

A: Good question! Our company was created by meat experts and dog lovers who share a commitment to high quality. Our mission here at Jack&Pup is to provide premium-quality dog treats that will be healthy, safe, and nutritional for your Pup – and also fun and tasty too!

All our treats are sourced from the finest suppliers and NEVER include artificial ingredients, added hormone, antibiotics, or chemicals. They’re processed in a USDA Human Grade Certified and Inspected facility, and then each treat is hand selected to ensure quality and consistency.

Since our treats are all-natural and 100% digestible, they are an ideal alternative to rawhide bones.

Q: What Ingredients Are in Jack&Pup Treats?

A: Here at Jack&Pup, we pride ourselves on cooking up all-natural treats for our Pups, sourcing our ingredients from the finest suppliers. Many of our treats are made of just one single ingredient, like our bully stick treats made of 100% beef muscle.

Other vendors are known to imitate natural chews with manufactured products that cost less but contain artificial ingredients and/or unsafe chemicals. Some brands have even been known to wash their treats in chlorine or other chemicals to disguise the unnatural look and smell of a poor-quality product.

In contrast, our treats contain only all-natural, premium ingredients that are processed in USDA Human Grade Certified and Inspected facility and chosen by hand to ensure quality. Our mission as meat experts and dog lovers is to create treats that Pups will love and owners will be proud to serve their four-legged best friends.

Q: Are Jack&Pup Bully Sticks Safe?

A: When you love your Pup and want to give them only what’s best, it can be hard to know which treats to choose and which to avoid. Some Pups, especially young puppies, can be excitable and prone to want to eat quickly, which could lead to potential choking hazards. Unfortunately, rawhide chews have been known for this – they can splinter and/or not fully be digested causing blockages in a dog’s digestive system.

Our Jack&Pup all-natural bully sticks are a safer alternative to rawhide. They are 100% digestible and come in a variety of thicknesses so that you can choose one that’s a good consistency for your Pup’s chewing habits. All our treats are sourced from the highest quality, premium-grade ingredients, so they will support your Pup’s health while satisfying their desire to chew.

Q: How Long Can Jack&Pup Bully Stick Treats Last

A: In terms of shelf-life, bully sticks can last up to two years or more. Here at Jack&Pup, our stock rotates very quickly, and we make sure that every treat we send out is quality-inspected, fresh, and will last.

As for chew time, this all depends on your Pup! Some Pups are more aggressive chewers than others and some will spend more time chewing. We offer a variety of sizes so that you can choose a treat that meets your unique Pup’s needs. Typically, a bully stick should last from a few hours to a few days.

Q: What’s the Best Way to Store Jack&Pup Dog Treats?

A: We recommend you keep Jack&Pup dog treats dry and cold. Most of our treats come in resealable bags that can be used over and over while preserving freshness. Additionally, many of our Pup owners like to store their bully sticks in the freezer to make them harder and longer-lasting.

If your Pup doesn’t finish their treat in one sitting, you can place the remaining portion in the freezer, and it will be hard and tasty for another day.

We recommend you do NOT leave your dog treats sitting out, as they can attract insects or otherwise become contaminated.

Q: Is it Ok for My Dog to Swallow the Ends of a Jack&Pup Bully Stick Treat?

A: Our dog treats are all 100% digestible, so they are good to eat down to the last bite, and can be eaten in larger pieces.

That said, it is important for owners to supervise their Pups when enjoying any dog treat. Some Pups, especially those who may have been abused or who naturally have more guarded personalities, can sometimes develop a hazardous tendency to try to swallow large chunks without proper chewing.

If this is an issue for your Pup, the best solution is to attach a vise grip to the last inch of the treat to prevent them from swallowing too large a chunk at the end.

Q: How Often Can I Give My Dog a Jack&Pup Treat?

A: As a Pup owner, you want to pay attention to your dog’s diet and be sure they’re given recommended portion sizes. Generally, treats should make up no more than 10% of your Pup’s daily caloric intake. This usually amounts to about one treat per day, but you may need to make adjustments based on the rest of your Pup’s diet.

Q: Why Do Bully Sticks Often Smell – And What Makes Jack&Pup’s Bully Stick Treats Different

A: Pups may love the beefy smell of treats, but many treats give off odors that are unpleasant to humans.

Some brands use chemicals to mask or remove unpleasant odors, but here at Jack&Pup, we’re committed to creating all-natural treats that are healthy. So, we use a process of slow roasting and slow drying that naturally locks in taste without creating odors. We’re proud of the fact that our treats are odor-free naturally!

Please keep in mind, as your Pup chews, they introduce saliva moisture into the treat that may result in enhanced levels of the natural beef odor. By freezing and properly storing your Jack&Pup treats in cool, dry locations, you can best preserve treats and keep them odor-free.

Q: Will Jack&Pup Treats Stain White or Lightly Colored Carpeting?

A: We’ve tested our treats with Pups in all sorts of homes, including those with white/light carpets and furniture covered in lightly colored fabrics, and there haven’t been problems. Generally, the slow roasting, slow drying process we use to make our treats should make them fine for your Pup to enjoy without staining your home. However, we do recommend keeping a close eye on your Pup while they enjoy any treat, just in case any issues should arise.
